About Mrs. Hersey

This will be my fifth year teaching 3rd Grade, and I could not be more excited! In 2015, I graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelors in Psychology and two minors, one in Human Development and another in Spanish. In 2016, I graduated from Washington State University with a Masters in Teaching and a certificate in K-8 education. 

Beyond my passion for education, I am a wife, dog mom to a sweet red labrador named Rogue and Corgi named Louie, die hard WSU Cougar, a book worm, runner/crossfitter/yogi, life-long believer in Disney magic, and world-traveler. I have lived southeast of Seattle for most of my life, thus I love being around water, and finding any excuse to grab a cup coffee. 

Favorites:  

Hobbies: Spending time with family and friends, Reading, Crossfit, being outdoors, baking, taking photos, and I absolutely love traveling!

Books: A little bit of everything (you can likely find me at Island Books)!

Places: St. Thomas & St. John USVI, Peru, Costa Rica, New Orleans, Disneyland, Strasbourg!

Sports: To watch: Pac-12 football (Go Cougs!), Seahawks. 

Movies: Coco, The Princess and the Frog, The Harry Potter Series!

Drinks: Decaf Sugar Free Vanilla Latte

Food: Sushi, Dark Chocolate
