WATCH: Where Are They Now? How Were They Prepared? College Transition Webinar

Mercer Island, WA, April 10, 2025 – The Mercer Island School District hosted a Where Are They Now? How Were They Prepared? college transition webinar yesterday evening.
Seven recent MIHS graduates took part in the webinar and spoke about how MISD prepared them for college and university and their post MIHS life.
Class of 2023 alumnus Andrew Howison, MIHS principal Nick Wold, and Superintendent Fred Rundle hosted the webinar.
The seven MIHS graduates that took part had varying post MIHS experiences, including attending a private college, attending a public university, taking a gap year, attending a state school, and attending a big name school.
All MISD students and families had the opportunity to ask the panel of graduates questions about their experiences at MIHS and in the district, what they might change if they could, and what advice they have for soon to be MIHS graduates.
This webinar is something we will look to do annually to keep our families abreast of how MISD prepares students for their post MIHS life.

The last day of school in the Mercer Island School District for the 2024-25 academic year will be Friday, June 20.
