West Mercer Hosting Guided Fall and Spring Tours

Mercer Island, WA, September 30, 2025 – West Mercer Elementary School elementary schools will be holding guided Fall Open House Tours on Wednesday, November 5, at either 10:00am-10:20am OR 10:30am-10:50am.
Guided Spring Open House Tours will be on Wednesday, April 8 at 10:00am-10:20am OR 10:30am-10:50am at all four elementary schools.
The purpose of the tours is to give prospective families, either on Mercer Island or off, a chance to visit the school on a typical school day and learn more about the school. Community members interested in visiting one of the schools will need to wait outside the main school entrance to be let into the school by a school staff member. The tours will be guided by the school principal and members of the school’s PTA.
All four elementary schools will hold their Kindergarten Information Night on Tuesday, January 27 from 6pm-7pm.
For the 2026-27 school year, Kindergarten Enrollment will open on Thursday, January 29, 2026.

The last student school day in the Mercer Island School District for the 2024-25 academic year will be Friday, June 20.

Since 2013 fifth graders at West Mercer Elementary have completed a novel writing project with author Roz Ray that is funded by a grant from the Mercer Island Schools Foundation (MISF).
